In addition to maintaining a private practice, Dr. Stewart was founder and President of two national eyecare consulting and management companies. He is co-owner of Eye1st Vision & Laser in Duluth, Georgia. Dr. Stewart is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association. He is a past board member of The Georgia Society to Prevent Blindness where he and his wife were both active in fund raising events that raised money for school vision and glaucoma screenings throughout the state of Georgia. In his spare time, Dr. Stewart enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife Melisa and their two teenage sons.
Dr. Shida is the co-owner of Eye1st Vision & Laser in Duluth , Georgia . Dr. Shida is active with 2 teenage boys. He enjoys coaching and following their sports activities. He likes to play golf in his spare time.
Dr. Wolf is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Contact Lens and Cornea Section of the American Optometric Association, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association. She served as a trustee to the boards of her local optometric society and TLC laser center while she was practicing in central Florida. Dr. Wolf serves on the Board of Directors of the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce and is also the Chairperson of the Chamber's Health and Wellness committee. In her spare time, Dr. Wolf enjoys boating and traveling.
Dennis Matzkin, M.D. graduated from the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in 1980. He completed his internship in medicine and surgery, as well as, ophthalmology at the Johannesburg Hospital . After completing two years national service as a medical officer in South Africa , Dr. Matzkin entered residency in ophthalmology at the University of Cape Town , Groote Schuur Hospital and earned the Fellowship in Ophthalmology by the college of medicine in South Africa . He spent over a year undergoing training in corneal surgery and began performing radial keratotomy under the training of internationally renowned John Hill, M.D., FRCS. Dr. Matzkin immigrated to the United States in 1989 and completed both a three-year residency in ophthalmology and 18 additional months of fellowship training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York . During the time spent at this prestigious institute, Dr. Matzkin trained under Peter Hersh, M.D., in refractive surgery and PRK. Dr. Matzkin became board certified in ophthalmology and moved to Atlanta in 1995. He has been in general ophthalmic practice and established the EyeSight Laser Center in September 2000. Dr. Matzkin is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the South African Medical Council. He is a fellow of the American Academy ofOphthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and RefractiveSurgeons, American Medical Association, and the Georgia Society ofOphthalmology. Dr. Matzkin and his family reside in the Atlanta area. Dr. Matzkin enjoys spending his free time coaching little league baseball and soccer, as well as, playing tennis and golf.
