Premium IOL Testimonial:

Good afternoon, Dr. Matzkin!

Just wanted to tell you that today is my 1st day back at work since my 2nd eye surgery last Thursday and aside from a little brightness and “jazziness”, I can read and work on the computer perfectly – no problems, no headaches … and NO GLASSES!!!  I am so relieved, excited, and happy – I just wanted to let you know.  Thank you so much for your care and accuracy in implanting my new lenses.  I put a tremendous amount of trust in you with my eyes, and you certainly did meet my hopes and expectations.  Thank you so much for accomplishing your goal of giving me perfect vision!

I’ll see you in a couple of weeks and you can see for yourself!

Dr. Matzkin,

It has been a month since my cataract surgery with the ReSTOR multifocal replacement lenses and I am thrilled with the outcome!  I now have great vision for near, mid-range, and distance – and NO GLASSES!  In the days immediately following my surgery, I did not need glasses to be able to function without restriction in my day to day life.  Reading for work and reading for pleasure are essential in my life.  While it took a few days for my near vision to learn to focus well with my new lenses, and while I can see better in well lit settings, words on pages now appear crisp, bright, and clear.  In my role as an Information Technology professional, I am working at a computer my whole workday.  From the day that I returned back to work – even while my eyes were healing – I had no problem with brightness, contrast, or focus in using the computer and doing whatever I needed to do to accomplish my tasks.  As an artist, visual accuracy and correct color recognition are so important.  With my new ReSTOR lenses, I can now see shapes and colors crisply and vividly.  I do see starbursts on lights that shine directly into my eyes, especially when driving at night, but these are not debilitating or overwhelming, nor do they interfere with me being able to see everything else that I need to see to remain fully functional.  Best of all, I have noticed that with each passing day I am becoming less aware of the starbursts, or of any eye surgery related phenomena, and am becoming more accustomed to my great new way of seeing things!

While the cost of the multifocal lenses was significant, a future with perfect vision for the rest of my life is priceless! Thank you so much, Dr. Matzkin, for your expertise, skill, care, and the great outcome on my cataract surgery!  Certainly this is one of the best investments I have ever made!

LASIK Testimonials:

I wanted to let others know how wonderful Lasik is for anyone with a disability. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis back in 2002 and have had my share of ups and downs. This year, during an exacerbation, I lost my ability to use my hands. I could not put my glasses on, much less clean them. My vision was so bad the only time I did not wear my glasses was in the middle of the night to use the restroom. Any other time I had my glasses on. During this exacerbation I did not know if I would ever be able to use my hands again. That's when I looked to Dr. Matzkin to see if he could help me. I was fortunate enough not to have Optic Neuritis, which Lasik can not fix to my understanding.

We went in to see if I qualified and the wonderful staff was able to set up the procedure the next day. The procedure went great! Dr. Matzkin and his staff are one of a kind. They make you feel so welcomed and truly care abut you. I felt so grateful to have Dr. Matzkin perform the surgery. It was such a wonderful blessing. My eyesight is great and I couldn't recommend a better place to trust with your sight. With MS you never know what's going to happen next, but I know you should never take for granted what you are able to do. And during the times when I am in the bed a great deal of the day, it sure is nice not to have to worry about my vision. So if you or a loved one has a disability of any type, I would definitely recommend Dr. Matzkin.

Thank you all at EyeSight Laser!

George Waring changed my life! I wore very thick glasses since I was three years old. Can’t tell you how many fights I got in as a kid because of the teasing. I have Amblyopia in one eye, so it is not correctable to 20-20. In fact, if I only had that eye, I would not be able to drive. I did wear contacts through my adult years. They were thick and had to be special ordered at the cost of over $500 per year for just two pairs. I went to several eye surgeons over the years, but none would do LASIK. They said the risk with only one correctable eye to 20-20 was too high. I did a lot of research and found Dr. Waring. I learned that he has been recognized all over the world for his work. In fact I believe he was the first eye surgeon approved by the FDA to do LASIK in the United States. Dr. Waring was confident in his ability to do it and accepted the challenge. I certainly don’t think for a minute that he did it just for the money. He did it because he knew I wanted a change in my life and he believed he could get the results we wanted. That was 10 years ago and I’m still the happiest patient he has. I felt like it was a miracle. The day after the LASIK I had lunch in a high-rise and was astonished at how well I could see everything outside the windows in such detail. I would highly recommend Dr Waring and have to several friends who all had similar great results.

Dear Dr. Matzkin,

I wanted to drop you a note about how pleasant my experience at Eyesight Laser was recently. Your entire staff, from the waiting area to the OR, were just great to my wife, Karen, and me. They were prompt, efficent and respectful during our entire treatment period. Thank you, Dr. D, for taking time to answer all of our questions about Lasik, explaining my situation and allowing me to make the decision that has allowed me to witness the world around me more clearly now! I can read the exit signs now from the Skycopter Lounge and I have not picked up a magnifying glass to look at my map since you worked your magic. Thank you also for the patience you displayed when trying to get those contacts in! You all are the best!

Happy Motoring,

Dr. Waring performed LASIK to this blind bat in 2000. In 2009, I found him again when my vision started slipping. By then, I also needed help with reading glasses. He suggested going with the monovision option to have one eye for reading and one eye for distance. He easily could have sold me on enhancing both eyes for a higher fee, but didn't. He had my best interests at heart. The monovision is great, but recently, I seem to need reading glasses more frequently, so I saw him today. Turns out, the reading eye is actually getting better for distance. Again, with my best interests at heart, after listening to my needs, we went with a sunglass prescription. Dr. Waring is always pleasant and professional, but most of all, extremely competent as a surgeon. I will follow him wherever he practices.

I can't possibly say enough praises for Dr. Waring. He is the most gracious, jubilant, humble, caring and an incredibly gifted surgeon. I had lasiks on my eyes about 6 years ago and I can't begin to commend his mastery and skill. I am a professional photographer and you can imagine how important my eyes are.I would not trust my eyes to anyone but Dr. Waring. Besides all of his amazing attributes and charm, I have never seen so many awards, diplomas, certificates of merit in any doctor's office, that says it all. I highly recommend Dr. Waring if you are considering any type of eye correction.

It took me many years to decide to have Lasik. Now, like everyone I know who had it done, I wonder why I didn't do it years ago. The pre- and post-procedure check-ups were professional and all of my questions were answered truthfully and with patience. I love Dr. Matzkin and everyone who works there. The entire process was problem free and being able to see clearly all the time is a constant joy. My experience couldn't have been better.

Perhaps my highest compliment is that I recommended them to my brother and my dearest friend. Raising a four year old boy and counting on them to help, I definitely need them both healthy and very sharp-sighted!

Dr. Waring has been my ophthalmologist for over ten years. I initially began seeing him for regular eye exams. He then performed my LASIK procedure in approximately 2004, an enhancement in December 2010, and a follow up procedure in August 2011. His staff has always been extremely helpful and friendly (the receptionist greets me by name), and I have never had difficulty in scheduling a last minute appointment when needed. Dr. Waring is genuinely concerned about his patients, and he has made every visit a relaxed experience. He will greet you and tell you goodbye with a smile. He is one of those rare doctors who possesses tremendous skills AND a wonderful sense of humor. That he is a genuinely warm and caring person is highly evident whenever you are in his office. He patiently listens to all questions and then provides clear and concise answers. I would NEVER trust the health of my eyes to anyone else. I have recommended Dr. Waring to friends and acquaintances over the years and will continue to do so with confidence and without hesitation.

Dr. Matzkin,

Greetings from Baghdad. All is well on the frontier of freedom. The soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division are performing exceptionally and are taking steps everyday to ensure that the people of Iraq are afforded the opportunity to embrace the true meanings of freedom and liberty. Our nation would be proud of the effort displayed by all of our soldiers. Our efforts to rid this nation and region of an armed insurgency will free the world from the perils of terrorism in the years to come. We are eternally grateful for the support those back home have provided and we are eager for a speedy return upon completion of a successful mission.

I personally wanted to convey my deepest thanks for the quality of eyesight that you provided me last December. In the four months since I underwent LASIK surgery, I have encountered blinding sandstorms, night time missions, and long hours between sleep. At no time, during any of these events, has my eyesight been a detriment. My eyes have never felt better and my vision is extraordinary. The clarity of my vision has strengthened my ability while on missions. I have two close friends that also received LASIK in December through other providers. Both struggle with significant side effects that hamper their vision. I am thankful to not have such post-op issues.

Thanks to your staff as well. The professional, timely, and accurate delivery of eye care is in keeping with the finest traditions of the healthcare profession. Your technicians and administrative staff were knowledgeable and eased my concerns with receiving the surgery. Their attentiveness and ability to explain the procedure made me feel 100% confident about the quality of care I would receive.

I look forward to receiving my post-op checkup when I come home for leave sometime in late summer. Please let me know I can be of further assistance.

Regards,
CPT Matt Brooks

I have had the pleasure of being Dr. Waring's patient for 30 yrs. We laugh about me being is oldest (longest) patient. In '82 he diagnosed me with Kerataconus and handled my cornea transplant and again in '97. Both eyes have been corrected by lasik and at 60 yrs old, I still do not use glasses except for night driving. For someone that wore corrective vision since I was 5, I can give Dr. Waring the credit for my "outlook" on life. Thank you Dr. Waring for being my hero - taking time out of your busy schedule to call me and check on me after surgeries and making suggestions for my visual well being. I know for a fact that you are not in it just for the money.
